Overdue IMATS Haul

Waking up Sunday morning was a drag for me! I attended a wedding in Camarillo the night before and didn't sleep till late. I had about 4 hours of sleep but as I woke up; excitement grew on my face, as if I was going to Disneyland...lol So I headed out 60 miles on the freeway to Pasadena with no one besides me, myself and I. Crazy?! Yes!! Would I drive from Camarillo to Pasadena early in the morning again? HELL NO! haha!

Well enough of that morning, lets get on to the
purchases I made at IMATS!

1) Beauty So Clean Pro Package/IMATS Special $40

I know I'm not the only one who forgets
to clean their makeup brushes.
Using these products makes it simple, easy and quick to use!
Knowing how fast these products clean the bacteria off your makeup and brushes BLEW ME AWAY!

The package includes:
*Pro size Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist - You spray your eye shadow, blush, powder foundation etc. and it kills
the bacteria without ruining your makeup.
*Pro Size Conditioning Brush Cleanser - It quickly conditions and kills bacteria that is left on your makeup brushes and dries instantly.
*Cosmetic Sanitizer Wipes - Used to clean mascara wands, lipsticks etc.

I will definitely purchase this again and recommend
this product to every MUA.

Love the pigmentation and presentation of the product.
Unfortunately, while applying the lipstick you have to be careful not to break it. :(

Lime Crime Candy -Eyed Eye Shadow Helper

This is the best eye primer since UD's Primer Potion! I love this primer because its true to its name, it helps with bringing out the shadow more than you can ever believe!
I will definitely buy it again and highly recommend it!

Lime Crime Magic Dust (Left to Right)

Lime Criminal
Abracadabra
Troubadour
Empress

Highly pigmented, vivid, the color is best when wet and/or
with the Candy-Eyed Eye Helper.
Will buy again and recommend this to anyone looking to
stand out from the crowd!

So there you have it, my purchases at IMATS 2011 in Pasadena.
I look forward to next years exhibitors new and old. And hopefully next year I can splurge a little more! Can't wait for IMATS 2012! Whoo-hoo!

Tarte for TRUE BLOOD LipSurgence

This was my first Tarte LipSurgence purchase and
I must say this stuff rocks! It has a minty smell and taste
that makes me want to keep reapplying it! I love how it instantly moisturizes your lips and gives a voluptuous look. Rawr! :)

This Lip tint is a bit pricey, $24 at Sephora.com
so if you're looking for a great alternative I would go
with the Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm from Revlon they're
about $8.99 and you can find them at Target or any drug store.

Tarte for TRUE BLOOD

I was anticipating the arrival of this palette, not only because its a Tarte palette with 17 gorgeous colors but its TRUE BLOOD Limited Edition! The quality of the packaging is great, the only downfall (on my end) is when i received it one of my eye shadows was cracked in a few places. I managed to put it together in one piece by smashing it gently in place with my finger.

Inside is a mirror and a pull out (similar to Urban Decay Book of Shadows) with Tarte for True Blood Lifted Natural Eye Primer with Firmitol, Tarte for True Blood EmphasEYES aqua-gel liner in Black and Tarte for True Blood Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara.

It actually took me a few seconds to figure out how to open it since it has the same appearance as the Urban Decay Book of Shadows. To make it easier on people, the top part is magnetized so just lift that part up and viola!

Above is the open palette of shadows with names.

Shadows right to left: The light, Dawn, Bayou, Moss, Werewolf, Charmer, Telepath, Fairy, Glamour Me, and Legend

Cont. from right to left: Dusk (very faint on my skin), Waitress, The True Death, "V", Nocturnal, Stake and Immortal

This palette also comes with 4 different looks created from
the lead makeup artist Brigitte Ellis that you can try for
a night out with your special vamp...haha :)

This is the TRUE BLOOD look I came up with!

Primer: Tarte for True Blood Lifted Natural Eye Primer
Base: Charmer
Crease: Glamour Me
Brow Bone: Dusk
Inner Eye: The Light
Bottom Lash Line: Moss
Upper Lash Line: Tarte for True Blood emphasEYES
aqua-gel eyeliner
Mascara: Tarte for True Blood Lights, Camera, Lashes
Bottom Waterline: MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack
Cheeks: MAC Magically Cooling Powder in Cajun (Venomous Villains Collection)
Lips: Tarte for True Blood LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint

Belle of the Ball March 26, 2011

I was all but confident in high school.  I never wore makeup nor did I care for it. But to have a mentor or have someone show you basics on how to be confident in yourself...well..that's what its all about! The Belle of the Ball was an event for teens not having that confidence like I did or able to afford to go to Prom.

Being treated like a princess is every girls dream and the Belle of the Ball was dedicated to put a smile on every girls face. Prom dresses, shoes and even jewelry was donated to ensure each girl got what they were looking for. Thanks to my friend Esther (Follow her on Twitter and subscribe on YouTube!) from Classic Glamour Dolls, I was one of the 75 makeup artists that volunteered their time to help these girls with basic techniques on how to apply makeup, facial cleansing and hairstyling tips to help boost up their confidence. I'm glad to have been part of it this year and will continue to participate in this glamorous event for years to come!

Below are a few of the pics I took with the girls, prepping them up for their Ball! :)

Lovin all the smiles!!
